A Video Tutorial: Dyeing Yarn with Artificial Food Colouring

This is the portable version of a tutorial that I given at Craft Shows around the country.

Always wanted to try dyeing but didn't know where to start? Using artificial food colouring on animal fibre yarn as an acid dye is incredibly easy.

It's fun to do, it's a craft that children really love to create with and the results gives an “instant gratification” crafting buzz.

A 30 minute tutorial covering beginners aspects of food colour dyeing – basic colour theory, why food colouring is a dyestuff, some health and safely followed by a demonstration.
