Sari Ribbon Yarn – Single Colour

This yarn is made of sewn together strips of cut Sari.

The ribbons varies in width anything from 2.5cm right down to about 1cm. These skeins are all made from the same sari, so colour is consistent for the entire length.

Please note that when they arrive, these yarns smell of “India” – Patchouli, spice and musty humidity. This smell fades over time in your stash, (I must admit, I rather like it, but it is not to everyone’s taste!)

This yarn knits/crochets well to make quite a stiff fabric, could be used to add accent to weaving & rag rug projects as well as used separated into its various ribbons for embroidery, couching, & other embellishing.

Suggested needle/hook size: Go large! At least a 15mm, but it looks good right up to 25mm.
