Lexie

£3.00

Ruth inspires me as “Hat Ninja”, and I’m so happy to see how her life and career have gone in such good directions since I used to have the pleasure of knitting with her at Angel Knits, so I’m happy to offer a link to one of works that ties in with yarns that I dye.

This Hat pattern was originally written for another yarn, but this picture of it on Twitter shows it off in Wensleydale Longwool (Kirstin said: “I used I used 60g and 3.75mm needles (I knit loosely) but got pretty close to gauge. Could’ve done with a few more body rounds though, and I blocked it pretty hard so it wasn’t tight on my ears, which took up a bit of the length.”)

As Wensleydale Longwool is one of my favourite base yarns to work with all round, and I love this hat pattern, I’m going to have a go at knitting this myself!

“Lexie is a classic Hat with modern details.

The deep cloche like brim is knitted sideways, and features two decorative buttons. The body of the Hat is worked upwards, and features a striking spiral pattern created by travelling stitches. This pattern is worked effortlessly into the crown for a seamless finish.

The pattern is provided in 3 sizes, is provided in both written and charted format, and also features illustrated tutorials for the specialist skills required.”
